Native to Guadalajara, Jalisco. He took his first step into music at the age of 5 playing the soprano flute. When he was 10, he started playing the clarinet and enrolled in music school a year later where he developed a taste for other instruments and baroque classical music. So much so that Oscar became the conductor and main flutist of the school’s baroque flute ensemble. It wasn’t until he arrived in the United States that he found his interest in Regional-Mexican music, and developed his singing and guitar playing skills for this genre.
