Agua e 'Yuyo is a musical group created in 2012 in the city of Barranquilla, Colombia. It consists of nine musicians and two composers, experimenting and creating new sounds starting from the popular music of the Caribbean. The group's purpose is a novel one: to merge modern music, both its sounds and its instruments using the innate richness of traditional music of the Colombian Caribbean & the Greater Caribbean. The name of the group derives from the cormorant duck (Phalacrocorax), a migratory bird of the Rio Grande De La Magdalena whose name in the aboriginal language is YUYO.
