Perez.
He, known as “El Tresero Moderno”(The Modern “Tres”’ Player) is considered one
of the best “tres” and guitar players in Cuba and around the world.
The “tres”, is a six string Cuban instrument. Its sound has become a defining character
of the Cuban “son”.
San Miguel received Cubas’ prestigious Cubadisco Award for Best Tresero (2011) and Best
Traditional Cuban Music (2014). He was also nominated for a Latin Grammy for his album
"100 Sones" (2007).
