Describing Renato’s career as prolific might be an understatement. In the 90’s He traveled through Europe and South America with his trio known as “Straight Jacket.” Renato has played and recorded with Dianne Reeves, Michael Ruff, Ronnie Foster, Marilyn Scott, Frank Gambale, Scott Henderson and Sandro Albert. In 2000 he produced albums for Rod Stewart, Marilyn Scott and Flavio Bala amongst others – along with drummer Tal Bergman, He also scored some films including; Dancing At The Blue Iguana and Kill Me Later. In 2000 he joined, recorded and toured with Sheila E.'s E-Train band. In the Fall of 2001 onwards Renato played with Prince and The New Power Generation (NPG) in tours including “One Nite Alone” and “Musicology”
